Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again exhibition designed by Claire Healy with Ralph Appelbaum Associates.

A major new exhibition celebrating the life and work of the Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney is open at the Bank of Ireland’s new Cultural and Heritage Centre in Dublin, designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA) with MANE course tutor Claire Healy as senior designer.

Taking visitors on a multi-sensory journey from Heaney’s modest roots through his extraordinary career as a poet, the exhibition draws on the National Library’s extensive archive of Heaney documents and features Heaney’s original manuscripts as well as letters, unpublished works, diary entries, photographs, note books, and multi-media recordings.

Determined that his archive should be preserved by the National Library of Ireland, legend has it that Seamus Heaney loaded up his car and delivered the boxes of documents displayed in the exhibition to Kildare Street himself.

Launched in July 2018, “Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again”  is the first exhibition to take place in the new Bank of Ireland Culture and Heritage Centre and will be open for three years.
