The exhibition explores how characters from favourite children’s books, from Matilda to Pippi Longstockings, break conventions and bend rules to change the world around them for the better.

Inspired by a range of popular children’s books, the design includes interactive elements and distorts the scale of the set-works so the focus of the exhibition is on children rather than adults – although it is a fun show for anyone who feels child at heart.

The exhibition is free and runs at the British Library until Sunday 1st of March.
