Exhibition Designer and MA Narrative Environments alumni Jean Campbell’s exhibition “Let Our Legacy Continue” is a tapestry of visual art, sound, music and words that captures and celebrates the material of the unique Caribbeaness as reflected in everyday lives, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Designed in collaboration with photographer, exhibition designer and curator Ingrid Pollard, the exhibition is on now at the Stephen Lawrence Gallery in Greenwich.
Bringing together the Caribbean Social Forum, and the University of Greenwich’s Applied Sociology and Drama Theatre and Performance Research Groups, the exhibition is a product of its time, taking place during key historical moments of the COVID-19 pandemic and exploring the resulting lockdown experience and the Black Lives Matter movement.
The exhibition was fully co-produced using Zoom with members of the Caribbean Social Forum, (all aged 65 years old or older), and demonstrates the interplay between Zoom, standard photographic representation and the photographers’ art sharing their stories using this communication platform.
The exhibition runs from October 2nd to 28th 2020 at the Stephen Lawrence Gallery, Greenwich.
