MA Narrative Environments
People / Students / Margarita Vogiatzi
Margarita Vogiatzi was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She obtained her master’s degree in Architecture at University of Thessaly, an educational background that offered her multi- discipline exposure to enhance her creative thinking.
During her studies, she developed a curiosity over the human body that had a fundamental impact on her perception of space. That’s why she came to explore a more intimate architecture that is fashion, through her special research topic, and multiple workshops and short courses. Her stories, like the one of her master’s thesis, unravel from the body and outwards, giving an emphasis on the sensory experience.
She spent a semester in École d' architecture de la ville et des territoires à Marne-la-Vallée, in Paris. She has also lived in Athens and Amsterdam exploring art in various forms of professional practice. She completed internships both in the sector of fashion and architecture. Her last work was with Bureau Fraai architectural studio, where she took initiative in the design and visual representation process.
She is currently studying MA Narrative Environments in Central Saint Martins, examining how all these various art forms she is involved in would interact to produce poetic work, challenging the way we perceive visual culture.
