Alexander Collinson Is a multi-disciplinary creative, with a background in Music Composition, Sound Design and Design. Having worked on a multitude of short films and documentaries from 2016 on wards while studying at Ravensbourne University London Alexander has now turned pursue his life long dream working on projects with museums and galleries creating immersive narrative experiences. 2020 has seen him launch his design company Relaxed_Can along side starting a Master degree at Central Saint Martins Studying Narrative Environments.

Past education has seen him studying popular music and landscape design, contributing to design and music knowledge that is being used today with narrative environments. One of his main goals is to change the way that we interact with history or topical information in museums and galleries by creating immersive experiences that speak to a wider range of people by removing text heavy exhibitions with exhibits behind glass and creating a space that can fully immerse a visitor into a topic through the use of all senses such as sight, sound, smell and taste along with interactive engaging experiences.

Alexander has gained experience in the museum and arts sector working on projects at places such as the Tate Modern on a week long project with the Tate Exchange called Future Medina accumulating in a 2 hour live audio visual set on a Saturday night, along with mixed reality experiences showing the works of Leonardo da Vinci’s perpetual motion machines with exhibitions both in London and later moving the Florence Italy. Most recently Alexander has worked on a new temporary exhibition at Bentley Priory museum providing multimedia from video to sound design and also helping with oral history interviews.

Alexander is continuing to work with Bentley priory in the coming months on a new exhibition opening spring 2021 and currently working with Ravensbourne university’s SEEDS scheme as an assistant helping with Diversity students and graduates establishing themselves in the creative industry. Along side actively creating and designing on projects while and working on his new design company Relaxed_Can.
