Sorracha Nimityont is an Interior Architect. She graduated Bachelor Degree in Interior Architecture from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand with honors. She had been working as a freelance interior architect and professor’s assistant while helping her family business in engineering industry in the position of head of design department for 3 years. Being an Interior Architect, Sorracha has primarily based her design thinking on user centered approach which trained herself to pay more attention to the way of interpreting client’s needs into an actual architectural design. She had experienced a wide range of projects, especially in commercial projects, which related to branding and communication design by doing the whole process from designing to overseeing the construction. She has done several design competitions and got the award from ELLE Decoration Thailand. She is passionately interested in the impact of communicative art as she believes that human-centered design delivers effective and powerful outcomes. Realizing that design could make an impact to people through various expressive platforms, she is determined to explore different means of communication in order to make her design more meaningful. This passionateness brings her to MA Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins, which allows her to explore more in the integration of narrative and space, and also broadens her perspective in the way of communication, which is to cultivate innovative and sustainable environment in her design community.
