The ambient music of the city- a sound collage that plays in the airport as visitors arrive in London.

You are invited to share the experience of a London student through the bells she hears in the course of a day.

The alarm clock rings loudly. It wakes me up – I’m late. I make myself some breakfast, rush to college, try to take the tube, but after some disruptions, I take the bus. My friend calls, she’s waiting on the 9th floor. I join her for lunch in the central club café and meet my team-mates in the canteen; but I need coffee first. I take the tube to Liverpool Street station, and stroll to Whitechapel. The weather is so warm. I see Burger King’s ice cream. I buy one.

Ney collects bells, I should buy one for her. I cross the pedestrian crossing, and pass the church. I see the bell foundry. All the bells sound beautiful, I make my choice. Now I can go home, but I should take the bus. I forgot my keys, so I ring the doorbell, my flatmate is home. Its 11.00pm now, we have a microwave dinner, we’re too tired to cook.
